Experience San Antonio's Culinary Heritage at Alamo Cafe

The beauty of San Antonio lies in its colorful history and steadfast traditions. Visitors travel from near and far to witness the Alamo, enjoy a delicious Tex-Mex meal and bask in the beauty of the Riverwalk. With deep Mexican roots and Spanish heritage, San Antonio embodies a charm unlike any other. Although it boasts over 1 million residents, the city still feels small at heart.

For over 40 years, Alamo Cafe has proudly served the greater San Antonio area. The original Alamo Cafe opened in 1981 on San Pedro Avenue, with a second location opening in 1985 off IH-10 that continues to operate today. In 1996, the San Pedro location moved to Hwy 281 North. Alamo Cafe has become an integral part of this vibrant cultural destination, creating a true San Antonio experience for visitors and locals alike.

As most native San Antonians know, Fiesta is a yearly celebration that isn't taken lightly. What began as a commemoration of the battles of The Alamo and San Jacinto has evolved into a citywide celebration. For over a century, people have come together to enjoy the fun, delicious food, and bright colors that honor the city's rich heritage.

Alamo Cafe brings this spirit to every table with an extensive menu featuring authentic Tex-Mex favorites including sizzling fajitas, enchiladas, street tacos, and homemade tortillas. Signature dishes include Chile Rellenos, Chicken Laredo, and the popular Fajita Trio. Complete the experience with one of their famous margaritas in flavors ranging from classic lime to prickly pear, jalapeño strawberry, or the elevated Top Shelf option made with premium tequila and fresh lime juice.

At Alamo Cafe, every meal celebrates San Antonio's rich culinary heritage by bringing the fiesta to every table.
