The San Antonio River Walk, also known as Paseo del Río or The River Walk, is a remarkable city park and walkway network located one story beneath the streets of San Antonio, Texas, United States. Alongside the San Antonio River, the walkways showcase an array of bars, shops, restaurants, natural scenery, public art, and five historic missions, positioning the River Walk as a significant component of the city's urban landscape and its second-most popular attraction following The Alamo. The River Walk is a unique pedestrian street, situated one level below the automobile street. It meanders under bridges, forming two parallel sidewalks teeming with restaurants and shops, linking key tourist attractions such as the Shops at Rivercenter, Arneson River Theatre, Marriage Island, La Villita, HemisFair Park, Tower Life Building, San Antonio Museum of Art, the Pearl, and the city's five Spanish colonial missions.
