The San Antonio Black International Film Festival celebrates its 5th year October 5 – 8, 2023. SABIFF 2023, themed "HBCU Luv" will celebrate remarkable Creatives in film, video and television who hail from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) and have made great strides in their profession to advance Black images, voices, equity, and opportunities for people of African descent. The #SABIFF2023 hybrid festival will include films in competition showcases, virtual and in-person workshops, panels, and professionals encompassing indie and mainstream, behind-the-scenes and in-front of the camera. Special events include: SABIFF's annual Ankh Achievement Award, and Red Carpet Reception opens the festival at the historical Carver Community Cultural Center, a night of Cinema Under the Stars feature showcase, and our Sunday Glory afternoon concludes with our Films in Competition Awards celebration.
